Key words of the week
In its ongoing activity of collecting press texts from Rzeczpospolita, the Corpus of Polish unit selects those words whose relative frequency in the newspaper for the current week is considerably greater than it was during the last six or twelve months. The list of surnames and other names and words appearing most frequently in press texts for a given week is evidence not only of word frequency within the language, but also of who holds the title of hero of the week (positive or negative) in the collective imagination - whom and what we read, talk and think about most often.
